By accessing or using Capid (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What Capid is
Capid is an educational financial simulator that helps users visualize how savings and investment decisions may compound over time. It is not a financial product, investment platform, bank, broker-dealer, or advisory service.
Not financial advice — important disclaimer
Nothing on Capid constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Capid is not registered as an investment adviser with the SEC or any state securities authority, and is not a registered broker-dealer or financial planner. All projections are illustrative estimates based solely on the inputs you provide and simplified mathematical assumptions. They do not account for taxes, inflation, fees, market volatility, or regulatory contribution limits. Real-world results will differ materially. Before making any financial decision, consult a qualified, licensed financial professional.
Estimates and assumptions
Capid's projections are based on user-provided inputs and default assumptions, some of which can be adjusted within the tool. Default assumptions may include a fixed annual return rate, continuous contributions, and simplified treatment of taxes, inflation, and contribution limits. Even when adjusted, all projections remain illustrative estimates — not guarantees. Markets are unpredictable. Past performance does not guarantee future results. The numbers shown are possibilities, not predictions or promises.

Intellectual property
Capid, its name, logo, design, and underlying code are owned by Capid and its licensors. All rights reserved. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial, educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without prior written permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service; (b) use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service; (c) misrepresent projections generated by Capid as financial advice or guaranteed outcomes; (d) use the Service in any manner that violates applicable law.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. CAPID DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CAPID AND ITS FOUNDERS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. CAPID IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF CAPID AND ITS FOUNDERS TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO ACCESS IT.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Capid, its founders, contributors, and licensors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
Governing law
These Terms will be updated with a governing law clause as the Service formalizes. Nothing here limits the applicability of laws that apply to you based on your location, including California consumer protection law.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Capid regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
